Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.
A lot of people have asked me how it's going, when it will be published and stuff. I really appreciate getting asked these things because it shows that people are actually interested in my writings, and that it just such a great feeling

I've got two news for you guys today though: one bad news and one good news. Let's start with the bad news.
I haven't finished writing SPIKE yet.
And I honestly don't know when it will be finished - which oddly enough brings us to the good news:
I've made a new, major decision in the SPIKE story that I think a lot of you will be happy to hear. As usual I don't want to spoil too much, but there is a part in the story where Spike and Sam are separated from each other for quite a long while. OK ladies and gentlemen (and robots of all kinds),
It is time for our fist contest!!!
...

So here are the basic ground rules...
1) You must comment in this journal entry if you want to enter in the contest. (there is no exceptions)
2) You have to be a official member to join the contest (This is for update purposes only, you can "leave the group" after the contest if you want.)
3) This contest is for writers only no art work (however artwork at the beginning is alright, judges will be asked to not include this in the voting)
4) There will be three types of sections in the contest
     A) Short Stories (1-3 pages)
     B) Poetry (If less than 4 lines must present at least 2-3 more poems)
     C) One Act Plays/Scripts (1-3 pages)
   These entries will be judged on several factors.
      A) Spelling (You will lose points for noticeable misspellings)
      B) Grammar (It has to flow, without a doubt)
      C) Punctuation (You won't be judged as harshly in this category unlike Spelling)
      D) Interest factor (Your work must be your best if it isn't interesting then we wont read it and you will lose points)
      E) Has to relate to the topic of the contest. (Hands down if it talks about flowers when the contest is about trucks your entry will not be judged)
      F) STICK TO THE STORY LINE (If it isn't consistent with your main idea you will lose points!)
5) Please Spread the News ! (In a journal please mention this contest so others can join if they want.)

That is it for the basics...

The contest subject will be "The Future": so this can take off in several directions.
     Your character or characters could be stuck in a post apocalyptic world and they are writing about what is like, or it can be all butterflies and gumdrops and  ice-cream and your character/characters are describing the great advancements made in the world. There are many more things that could be used as a story line but those are a couple of ideas.

Now The contest doesn't  officially start for about another 2 months however this will give you time to enter, write something, and send it to us.
All entries will be accepted on July 12th and must be sent to our email -> thepaperpeoplegroup@gmail.com
This will ensure the privacy of our competitors.
All the people in the contest will receive ONE  feature!

You all might be wondering what the prize is? Well here it is...
